THE LEGAL STUFF

Terms of Service

EFFECTIVE 16 JULY 2026

1. The deal

Tsip is free to use. We offer it as-is, without charge. Using it means you agree to these terms. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time, and there's no paid tier being promised here.

2. Your account

Only hosts make accounts; members and viewers just use share links. You're responsible for keeping your login safe and for everything you enter and upload. Keep your details accurate and don't use someone else's account.

3. Records and links

Share links are bearer links: anyone who has the link can see what that link's mode allows. You, the host, control how much of the breakdown is visible. Only give a link to people you're okay seeing that record's amounts, receipts, and proofs.

4. Money

Tsip keeps score; it doesn't move money. Payments happen outside the app — in GCash, a bank transfer, or cash between you and your friends. If a hatian goes sideways, that's between you, pero the receipts are all there. We can't referee disputes or reverse a payment.

5. Acceptable use

Use Tsip for honest bill-splitting. Don't use it for fraud, for anything unlawful, or to harass, impersonate, or harm others. Don't try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

6. Content you upload

You own the receipts, proofs, and other content you upload. By uploading it, you give us the limited license we need to store and display it so the service works — showing a receipt to the members on that record, for example. We don't use your content for anything else.

7. Ending things

You can delete your records or your account whenever you want. We can suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service or break these terms. If your account ends, your owned records go with it.

8. Liability, plain-speak

Tsip is a best-effort free service with no warranties. It may have bugs, go down, or change. We're not liable for lost data, missed payments, or disputes between users. Use it because it's handy, not because we guarantee it'll always be there.

9. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll change the effective date at the top. Keep using Tsip after an update and that means you accept the new version.
